Why Buy Your Flies from Superflies?

As lifelong fly tyers and fanatic fishermen ourselves, we were missing a consistent and convenient way to buy premium flies. “Premium” meaning the top-notch standard we are used to, when putting our heart and soul into tying our own flies for the trip of a lifetime. We first wanted to simply find a source with that same quality for our own use. Later, we decided to make it easily accessible to all of us, who won’t settle for average but lack the time to tie everything ourselves. We fly fish just about everything and everywhere imaginable, which is why we needed not only trout flies, but also salmon flies, saltwater flies, sea trout flies, pike flies – you name it!

Our solution was Superflies.com. After thorough development work (=finding the best sample flies from some of the world’s best fly tyers and sending them back and forth with our production team) together with carefully selected tyers, we came up with a hand-curated selection of top quality flies. We wanted to bring you absolute best – because we fish with these flies too, and have high expectations for our equipment.

However, Superflies isn’t only about the best flies. We are deeply concerned about the state of native fish stocks and habitats, and want to try our best to make a difference. That’s why an integral part of Superflies is helping conservation work, which we will be supporting through various campaigns. Through our Charity Flies, we will donate 1€ to trout river conservation per each fly you buy. We have already donated over 10 000€ to a Finnish non-profit called Virho ry, who restores natives salmonid habitats with impressive results.
