We tend to use many of the same flies for predators of all sorts – in saltwater and fresh alike. “Misusing” predator flies can lead to pleasant surprises and secret weapons – for example, the Magnetic Minnow (“really” a GT fly) is one of our favorite pike patterns while the Andino Deceiver (a Golden Dorado favorite) is to us foremost a great allround pattern.
