Golden Dorado fly fishing is extremely aggressive, physical and, when the water is clear, highly visual. You’ll be casting and stripping large streamers actively around structure, rocks and current, and the takes are absolutely explosive. In clear water rivers or conditions it’s about as visually exciting as fly fishing gets: you spot the fish, put the fly in front of it, and watch the fish explode on it, to then hook it with a heavy tarpon-style strip-set.

The world’s top destinations for dorado include Bolivia’s Tsimané’s jungle sight-fishing on Sécure, Pluma, Itirizama and Agua Negra. Argentina’s Upper Paraná & Iberá, Rio Dorado and Rio Juramento and Uruguay’s Salto Grande. This selection is guaranteed to work in all of these locations.
