“Do you have Ake?” was the first question a Finnish fly shop had when introducing our fly selection them. That perhaps tells something about how Finnish and also other Nordic die-hard salmon enthusiasts feel about the Ake fly pattern. Ake is often regarded as one of the most important patterns for Finnmark rivers in Norther Norway, but we have used it with excellent results pretty much everywhere. Including Icelandic salmon rivers and sea trout fishing in Argentina. In fact, it is perhaps our personal number one sea trout fly in small sizes! Available on both Mustad 3582BR bronze double hooks as well as black Loop double hooks.
