Permit are famously drawn to this fleeing crab fly with its signature articulated arm. This is the floating version of the famous Strong Arm Merkin Crab fly which is one of the most important permit patterns all along the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. Use this floating crab pattern when fishing places like Ascension Bay and other destinations along the Mayan coast where the sargassum can make fishing a normal crab pattern impossible. Tied on a sturdy Gamakatsu SL-11 3H saltwater hook.
